Be careful what you wish for

Fact: With all the Paul Johnson talk, offensive skill players have asked the adm. about transfer possibilities today. They were told wait and see before you make a decision. Check what Johnson did a Hawaii. THIS IS A FACT..How does that grab you!

Fact: you know as much as the rest of us - jack squat! Have a seat and wait until you are called on.

uh, are you guys crazy? Our young receivers are a big bright spot of these team right now. One of the few actually. Bennett did upgrade the skill positions over the last two years. I'm not saying we will, but if we lost any of them, that would suck and be a big problem for any bowl chances the next 2 years.

Offensive skill position types who want to be the centerpiece of an Offense will avoid the veerbone like a plague. I'm telling ou this is a reality repeated over and over through the years. Its simple- School X offers a Top RB with options 25-30 carries a game while a veerbone back gets about 10-12. A Star WR wants to play in a wide-open spread offense-the veerbone offers him 2-3 catches a game. Surely, some of you know enough about recruiting to realize this.

I bet Ganaway would have come to SMU if we ran Johnson's offense.

Then why did he commit to 3 separate spread offenses? SMU, Rice and finally UH.

If we get Johnson he will adapt to our talent. At Hawaii he had the most passing yards in the country. He is a good coach.

Good then you realize that SMU will have trouble attracting top WRs, Top RBs and Passing QBs.

Becuase we said we did not want to use him as a running back.

RB Adrian Peterson seemed to do ok at GS under Johnson--6,500 career rushing yards. then on to the Chicago Bears

We will always have trouble attracting the top WR's, RB's and QB's. They will go to BCS schools. If Johnson can win with second tier recruits as he has at Navy then more power to him.
