How are you people not outraged by hiring such a class C coach? The apathy of this message board amazes me. Paul is not a WOW, he is not proven, he’s not the best available coach in America, he’s not worth the money we raised, he runs a high school option offense, he has no track record of being a solid recruiter and no one outside this message board (and navy) have ever heard of this guy. Yet, you all are pumped about is this hire? Wow!

I am pumped only because he can bring to this University what we need. Some stability and HC knowledge. That is all we need. How in the hell did we ever do anything different in the past 20 years. PJ will do just fine, as long as he can adapt to what we have. His coaching ability is not in question. He is asking himself this, is everybody at SMU as freaking brain dead about football as Whitmey. Oh say does that star spangle banner yet wave?
