I view this head coaching hire as the most important in the history of SMU football for the following reason. If we go 3-9, 2-10, 4-8 for the next ten years, I don't know that we will be able to justify having a football team. To me, that would just be disastrous if we decided to hang it up. For that reason we need to make DAMN sure that the guy we hire is the guy we feel gives us the best chance to take us where we aspire to be (Top 25). Can you even imagine opening a newspaper on a Sunday morning as seeing #21 SMU defeats #5 Oklahoma like TCU fans were able to do a few years ago?! Its almost too delicious to even think about. Lets all hope we get this right because I do believe the clock is ticking.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Are you kidding? Are you are the only one in the world that thinks that? Great insight...

Well [deleted] you very much assmaster. Just pointing out that we can't afford to make the bonehead hire this go-round otherwise there may not be another go-round. Geez who jacked off in your latte? [deleted] balls.

Well with Paul Johnson expect several years of losing and no light at the end of the tunnel. Now, let's say we get Terry Bowden,....ok, then 4 years of some losing but at the end of that 4 years we will have recruits that will be able to play with anyone. Not to mention the fact we will be excited (ford will be filled) for that 4 year waiting period. BOWDEN TO THE RESCUE PLEASE

Even if Bowden were to be hired, another 4 years of losing and there will still be no one in the stands.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
