You got through a Phi Delt pledgeship and didn't know that Don Meredith and Doak Walker were Phi Delts? Geez. TRIVIA who is the only SMU QB in over 60 years to win a Championship at SMU who was NOT a Phi Delt?

Obviously knew about Doak, didnt know about Meredith. The fraternity has been infiltrated by Longhorn fans, I think I had to find out more about UT football than SMU during pledgeship

jtstang got it. Kind of a trick question because some forgot SMU earned a much deserved Co-Championship in 1984 with UH. At the time, SMU's players were ecstatic to miss the Cotton Bowl and King lead SMU to a last minute Victory over Notre Dame in Honolulu.
Phi Delt Championship QBs
Gil Johnson
Mack White
Lance McIllhenny

Unfortunately I dont think were rushing any quarterbacks this year, so it may be awhile before we win another championship.

Beat Steve Beurlein in that game. People also forget we almost blew it in the regular season in Waco in the rain...took a great 4th Q comeback to pull that game out, King to Ron Morris for the game winner as I recall. That was the last REALLY good team we had on the Hilltop, in my opinion.

No we're still getting the best classes each year, dont worry about it. Stallion, were McIllhenney and Don Meredith Phi Delts? Didn't know that. I know that Craig James took a bid but didn't go through with pledgeship because of football.
Shayne Windmeyer's brother, Bob, took a bid but didn't go through with pledgeship because he just wanted to dance.

How do you know a word is misspelled until someone corrects you?
Also, Don King looks a lot different than he did back in the day. Saw him in Vegas recently.

Ask the butler if you're not 100% sure about the spelling...
