The counter-intuitive thing about lowering academic standards for our football team is that it would make our football program better, raise SMU's profile and give the school more applicants.

I agree....I think stats from the last 30 years might prove that out.

Thanks for your recent conversion and support for the Stallion Model . I outlined all changes that needed to be made 10 years ago and I said this program wasn't going anywhere until they were made.

You didn't outline [deleted] 10 years ago, at least on this board. It wasn't here. I agree with your assessment, and I share you concerns (if not your attitude), but you didn't call this 10 years ago to the rest of us, and embellishing your foresight only irritates the rest of us...even if we agree with you.
