BCS Bowl rundown

Postby George S. Patton » Sun Dec 02, 2007 8:37 pm

BCS Title game: LSU vs. Ohio State
Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech vs. Kansas
Sugar Bowl: Hawaii vs. Georgia
Rose Bowl: USC vs. Illinois
Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma vs. West Virginia

Congratulations to Hawaii for getting into the mix. Could be an interesting tilt with Georgia. To me, the most compelling game is Oklahoma-West Virginia.

The rest have the potential to be blowouts. I don't see how Ohio State can even stay on the field with LSU, especially with the game in the Superdome. But LSU is the best team in the country.

I'm glad the Razorbacks won the game. But LSU has amazing talent. The x-factor of the title game is how Les Miles' game management skills influence the flow.

You mean in the state of Louisiana. They have that rule where they can't travel over 300 miles. That's why they have 8 home games and they never play a big non-conference opponent on the road. Played Virginia Tech at home this year. Next year you would expect they play at Virginia Tech--Nope, the 300 mile rule.

When exactly did that 300 mile rule come into effect?

They've played Arizona St and Oregon State away over the last few years.

Yeah, you're right. Got it mixed up with Va Tech. Oregon State was here. Poured down raining. I was in Dallas watching SMU that weekend.

anyone can make an arguement that most good teams dont play good teams on the road...sometiems thats just how it is...money is a big factor on why some teams end up playing 8 home games and NO OOC on the road

I tend to agree. :D But I think Darren McFadden and Felix Jones are the best two backs in the NCAA.

Agree with you on those Razorback Backs. Pretty talented. Hester is your toughest back. A grinder.
