Is this what happened a few years ago at Auburn, where a new coach was being interviewed on the runway somewhere while Tuberville was coaching a game? I may have the facts a little jumbled, but it was something close to that.

They are not going to be on the ground long enough to interview anyone. They are going to the general aviation terminal in BWI. My guess is they will use Signature Flight Services. They will pull up, pick up their guest, add any fuel they might need and then roll back out onto the runway for the return flight.

If any of the pilots on the board want to correct anything let me know, but this is my swag at the situation.

If anyone wants to call the location and ask for Paul Johnson, they are always most helpful in finding someone for you.

You should work for the DMN.

Could you tell if the pilot had his arm out the window?

I was standing in our front yard one time and told my wife to look at the jet flying over heard...the pilot had the window open and his arm out the window....

...she looked up and said "How can you tell? I can't see that far!"

Still ribbing her about it....

BTW, I enjoy following the coaching carousel, one because I'm a Paul Johnson advocate and try to make sure people understand what a good coach he is, and two, it is downright entertaining.

The last time Nebraska's job came open, I read message boards till I was blue in the face.

The fact that someone is tracking flights means that SMU is now up with the big boys. Nebraska fans knew every flight that landed or took off from the state during that time period.

Also interesting were NC State, where Tom O'Brien wasn't mentioned as a candidate until the day they announced him, and North Carolina...because everyone laughed at them when they said Butch Davis was a candidate.

I also read the message boards of the teams of the potential candidates, and on every one I read, there is at least one fan who is happy to see their guy go....except one.

Go read Navy's board if you don't think Paul Johnson is a proven commodity. They even have "Hand off my Johnson" shirts for sale...

So would Otto have given me a passing grade?

Or could we not borrow him from Jamil Beard's closet?
