I haven't seen the stats, but SMU had a LOT of offsides calls today.
It also didn't help that the ref crew was utterly incompetent. Seriously, worst WAC officials EVER.

the number of penalties is a sign of a poorly coached team, but also a team that isn't focused on what they are doing. Don't you think I-A football players know better than to jump a snap count? Is that coaching, or is that the result of being outmatched by your opponents and/or trying too hard to get a jump on the play so you can get a win and get this 2 ton gorilla (aka the prospect of an 0-12 season) off your back?
