hey, anytime you are 0-8, you got problems. Morale ain't good, it can't be. Some individuals on the team probably are 'lost'. Most aren't. Navy went through this a few years ago and so did Houston. The winners will work through it and be part of the solution. The quitters will quit. Thats life bro.

Wow- let's aspire to be as good as Navy. Why there are only a few D1aa teams that can beat them instead of about 60 who could beat us. Bring on Stony Brook, we'll scare the he*l out of them. Does Dennison have a football team? Even if they do, I bet we can beat them. Slippery Rock- Give me 12 and I'll take the Ponies. I have watched this team for over 40 years and have never seen a worse SMU team nor fans who believe our goal is to be able to beat Navy. Maybe you haven't noticed but Roger S and the like don't play there anymore. Joe Bellino can start for Army tomorrow and still beat us. This is one huge disgusting mess and it is not all about talent.

Delaware is the #3, 1-AA team in the Country. In the east, there are a lot of very good 1-AA programs because a lot of the mid-majors in the east opted for 1-AA status. Schools like Appalachian State, Richmond, Delaware, VMI, William & Mary, Villanova, U Mass, and the Ivys. All of these schools are similar to SMU in size and academic mission. They all took a step down together. That is not permitted in Texas and I don't endorse it. But that being said, Delaware would give fits to many schools. I saw them play last year. The O-line averaged close to 300 lbs. per player. I wish our line was as big as theirs.
