The Crescent.

Diamond A's and various other Gerry Ford entities are located in the Crescent offices. Tenants get very sweet deals on hotel rooms (not that it would be necessary, just another link in this chain)

dont let this thread die yet. its full of gold.

fools' gold

wouldn't it be something to find out that he has been in Annapolis the whole evening watching Monday nite football and PF has been in afrenzy to find him.

i just envision people out looking for him at campus when he's a thousand miles away.

Could easily happen. No matter what the result of the events speculated here is, the exciting thing about all this is what can happen when something does happen. look at the attention this has gotten. amazing to me. over something that doesn't hold any true credibility.

there is a theory out there that a lot of news breaks in blogs and message boards before the traditional media actually taps it.

The Crescent and The W are right by office. I'll stop by in the morning with a fist full of Jackson's and some coffee for the valets.

the press conference will be scheduled after SO has had time to convince the SMU media department he can follow their instructions - that's what's been taking so long:

News Conferences
A news conference is a risky event. Holding a news conference can be embarrassing if reporters find your subject uninteresting and few, if any, attend. Remember, a new conference cannot be just an announcement. Questions, some from areas totally away from the subject, may be asked, and the person being questioned must be able to respond quickly and think fast.
Any news conference should be rehearsed. All participants must be prepared.
Expect to have several reporters asking questions at the same time. Do not get upset or flustered. Take your time in answering questions feel free to answer them in the order you want.
There is often a pause at the beginning of a news conference or it might occur in the middle. This is a good time to make several points that you hope will be reported.
Remember the camera can be on you at any time. Be careful with facial expressions and body movement. Don't fuss with your clothes or use annoying gestures.
Keep your hands off of the microphone. Don't lean on the podium or lectern unless you want to do it for effect by moving toward the audience to make a point.
Usually after any formal news conference one or more reporters will want to ask specific or follow-up questions. This may mean repeating some of the same answers. Again, do not be frustrated if the same questions are asked again.

and that will do what good? not to discount your enthusiasm, but do you think if you showed the valet guys pictures of PJ or Orsini or Turner for that matter, they would know who they were, or remember them in the mix of other old white dudes that stayed at the hotel the night before?
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

The purple hippo comment I get, but do I really look like a flasher?

Too isolated if trying to impress dallas on someone. no activity in preston center after 7pm. (probably earlier than that on a monday). and Hotel Lumen is too close to campus. with the students in finals, it will be dead around campus too. but take him down to the crescent at anytime and there will be activity, at the very least people pulling out of bars after watching MNF.

I'm totally confused. Are you saying someone at SMU will not let SO have a press conference until he (SO) follows their instructions!?

Exactly who is in charge over there?
