You did not just post at 2:30 in the morning, did you, guys?

Seems like I missed a lot in my time off from 3pm to 2:30am. LOL

I believe they did post at 2:30 AM.... and if any of you are keeping track of this sort of thing... yes I am still at work. Darn that plane, darn it to heck!

But I don't regret a minute of it, knew I was going to have to work late regardless, of course... didn't expect the the greatest pf day ever to force me to stay THIS late... but hey you got to have commitment.

At least my coffee's hot, and one of the good guys got shafted with the over night this month, so it's not all bad.

Yeah, I work at a web hosting company.... this is officially my first non film related all nighter since college. The sad thing is, I finished all my work about a half an hour ago... played some foosball to get the blood flowing. Didn't really work, though I did win the best of five series.

The good thing about my job is that I am one of the few people that has regular hours, allowing me to go home and do my film work.... the bad thing is if just up and decided to go home now people would melt... so I at least half to wait until the late morning folks come in to get them squared away.

It works out, though... better than my old film jobs... I'd get home pretty satisfied, not fully satisfied - but enough to listen to that you're exhausted you've done enough voice. I realized I had lost my drive.

So I moved to a film town, one that would feel like being in film school again.... but this time I'd go back to working a tech job like I did in high school and college... my resume was actually still pretty solid from back then... nothing amazing, but solid. Been working here for just over two years.... trying to finish my feature film I shot a few years back... ups and downs... tried saving money and building my own edit system... 3 times (even though it's basically my job to do such things, right?), well it was always something... fool me thrice... and finally everything came together... at the very end of September I spent more than 6K on a Mac, software and extras. If I had just taken the film in it's current form I'd be just about wrapping it up right now. But no, decided it was worth the extra 3-6 months to get it right, and start fresh. After all, I've only been working on it for 6 plus years, what's a few more months?

Exciting times. Exciting times.

The all nighter at the data center? Not so much.... but sales is hammering us.... I'd rather be busy then bored. But, it was a tad sudden.
