Does anyone REALLY want this job?
C'mon people, its really looking like no one wants to come to this so called "coaching graveyard" of a school.
we turned down probably the best coach availiable (sp), Gary Barnett...BEST RESUME out of any coach without a job...
first we thought Krag was the guy and then PJ, and now it looks like we are going to have a new frontrunner by hump day.
TURNER-ORSINI, call up GB and sign him...
the moneys right but no one really wants this job do they?

I don't know about the others on this site who've been getting the same calls, but SMU has called me about 20 times in the past 2 weeks and every time that number pops up on caller ID I cringe at the thought of answering. I am afraid it's SO calling to offer me the job.
I HATE the University of Texas!

we discussed this earlier. It's an Infosys empolyee. Next time, answer, and see how many times you can bait him/her into saying "sorryforthat"

It's a legitimate question at this point.

im sure there are a few who dont but you gotta admit that im no where on the level of whitney houston, therealtruth, or bigdaddy...
its not my fault some feel this place is a coaching graveyard...i dont...i actually think theres hope for a new coach to turn us around in 3-5 years
Rest assured, that's not the case. I'm sure it's telemarketing.
It's weird for me to be on here - I found this site because I'm a big fan of Coach Bennett. But I also came to realize on my visits that SMU is a pretty awesome place. No, I didn't go there, but I am officially hooked as a fan. It's a terrific academic school, and the players the new coach will inherit (with a few key additions, of course) set up the new coach to look like a genius because he'll win in this conference. There is enough here (money, campus, academics, location, stadium, young players, etc.) to make it appealing to some coaches - the panic here is way too knee-jerk.
