SMU-TCU Tickets

Postby flyingfrog » Sun Oct 26, 2003 6:43 pm

Hey,

I was just wondering if SMU offered a student discount to visiting students. The visitor price is kind of high ($38 I think.) If not, the "Public" tickets were cheaper, could I buy one of those and sneak over to the Visitor section? Thanks!

Buy the cheapest tickets you can find as there will be about 25,000 empty seats.

Heck if TCU is going for its first undefeated record in how many years-it could be a sellout-7,000 SMU fans and 25,000 TCU fans-now that will be humiliating but I guess we could laugh all the way to the bank.

we can only hope TCU brings a crowd, because otherwise Ford Stadium will be empty. Close to the holidays and 0-11, not to mention this year's game with the frogs could get ugly early. Patterson will want to pour it on because it will be TCU's last chance to make a statement to the BCS bowls, assuming they get past Louisville, Cincy and USM.

On the plus side, they announced on the radio broadcast that all remaining tickets for Rice will be $5 and kids under 13 get in free. At least they are now trying to put some butts in the seats for what will be our only chane of winning a game this year. I think we should mail out free tickets to all season ticket holders so they can bring a friend free.

boy wouldn't that be fun-SMU(0-11) at the Bottom of the Sport's Illustrated Bottom 10 against TCU(11-0) and BCS bound in front of 25,000 screaming Froggies and 7,000 dejected SMU fans in SMU's own Ford Field to end the Ken Pye Model Era of Football at SMU. SWEET!!!!!Make sure each one of you that have said I didn't know what I was talking about over the last 5 years show up for that TORTURE as TCU rolls to about a 30 point victory because I sure will.
