Its because of Honor and Comitment...Hes going to coach his Navy squad in the bowl game and after the game, he'll accept this job if its still open...
thats why the Ga. Tech interview didnt go well, because he didnt plan on leaving Navy for 2 more weeks...
those are just my 2 cents

Well we could maybe live with that, but I mean coach would at least have to say he was coming here. ...If he is coming here, I would think he would want to recommend an assistant coach on his staff to replace him at Navy and therefore would recommend that the assistant be the interim head coach for their bowl game.

whoever has interviewed him, im sure he told them all that they would have to wait until the next day after the poinsettia bowl to make an official offer/hire...
hes the coach at navy: hes going to be loyal to his players and finish the year off atleast...

This year's recruiting class ought to be a real gem. Waiting 2 more weeks? This coaching search has been dreadful for us fans.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Seems less honorable to me to make an agreement elsewhere and not tell anyone about it until weeks later. If I were a Navy player, I'd rather him come out and tell me he's leaving, but wants to stay and coach the final game.

He may not be leaving but my thoughts behind it seem to be as if he wants to stay at navy until the season is officially over. ie: after their bowl game...and then he'll see what his best options are.

There is no way we would wait until after their bowl game to make an announcement. The recruiting dead period begins Dec. 17, before their bowl game. Therefore we would have no recruiting from the time that Orsini's waiver ran out (on Nov. 10) until after the national championship game. This isn't about 2 weeks, it's about over a month before we would get any contact with recruits.
If Orsini let that happen, he should be fired. Look what happened to Notre Dame when Charlie Weis wasn't there to recruit. (This year's players were the recruiting class he got after staying to coach in the Super Bowl.)

When PJ left GSU for Navy, he announced before the IAA Championship game that GSU was playing in.
The Poinsettia Bowl is not the reason for the delay.

" Just Slooowww Walkin.....BS... .he would have to agree to a contract like Mike Sherman did at A&M or there might not be a deal at all.....And recruiting ??? maybe the NCAA could give Orsini some leverage there....PJ would be worth the wait, but we need a deal in writing soon.
