Bells brother
this is on the recruiting board but definitely general enough for this board. Darrius Bells brother has committed to TCU. His dad says SMU lost contact with him and didnt offer. What was Orsini's recruiting waiver for again? I think the only little brother we have ever kept from TCU is Burley. It gets ridiculous. This kids is a juco transfer who could have really helped SMU's defense, which might need some help, i dont know.

How sweet would they look running the ball in his unique offense.
I'm sure he can also get a few of those big fellas up front to lead the way
with pj we'll need a new set of running backs for the new pony express

It's just a commitment-he could change his mind.

that is a commitment that is being reported by HFVictory only not Rivals. Now their Rivals site does hold commitments for a day or so but its not otherwise on any site I've seen. The question may not be why did he commit to TCU but WHY hasn't SMU offered? Let me suggest that it is NOT likely because he can't play. The kid by all accounts had a great year. Reportedly 8 offers including 3 of our yearly opponents. Now hmm why hasn't SMU offered an outstanding JUCO recruit who is the brother of an SMU Football player. ADVANTAGE Opponent

OK, well see if you can contact TCU's recruiting coordinator and get that confirmed on the down low so you can officially find out exactly who offered and then call the Bell kid to see if he is good to go with all of this.
Once, he is, let us know what he said.

problem i see is that HFVictory stated the committment to TCU over KState and Mr. Bell posted subsequent to that but did not deny it. In fact, his response seems to confirm it indirectly assuming he read the prior posts about his son, which I have to assume he did.
The coaches basically stopped recruiting in a last-ditch effort to save their jobs. Once their jobs were lost, they weren't exactly in a rush to get back out on the recruiting trail.Stallion wrote:The question may not be why did he commit to TCU but WHY hasn't SMU offered?
Exactly what I was thinking.jimhagle wrote:It's just a commitment-he could change his mind.
Hopefully, the new coach — whoever it is — can bond quickly with Derrius Bell and then go get his brother.
