Sad day

Post by GoRedGoBlue »

Suzanne Fello, the wife of SMU assistant football coach Bob Fello, died Sunday morning of complications from diabetes. She was 53.

Head coach Phil Bennett said a memorial service is tentatively scheduled for midweek on the SMU campus. Fello, in his second season with the Mustangs, has missed the last two weeks to be with his wife.

Fello, who coaches the defensive line, was a defensive line coach and special teams coordinator at TCU from 1995-97.

RIP Suzanne Fello. May her family find consolation in the heartfelt sympathy and support of the SMU community.

that puts things in perspective. Prayers out to Coach Fello. Hopefully the team and the coaches will rally around him big time and in the process maybe they will come togther a little bit and turn things around.

Seems I'm a little slow on the uptake - I posted this in another thread .... interestingly enough, called "Putting things in perspective."

My heart goes out to Coach Fello and his family and friends. How lucky he is to have a boss like Coach Bennett who understands the importance of family and gave him time away from the team to be with Suzanne. Coach Bennett is a class man who has his priorities in the right order. Take all the time you need, Coach Fello - we're all here for you.
