That is one hell of a friend, SMU96...he would actually buzz over to the airport, climb over some wall at the general aviation terminal, with tail numbers written on his hand (like Igore from Young Frankenstein), and tell you if a plane is there or not??!? One hell of a friend, one hell of a friend, a dateless and homeless friend, perhaps? Jeezzz....

Okay, obviously way too much time on my hands, but here's some info:

I did a little digging for our smaller airplanes or the other contenders’ turbo-props. Didn’t find any listings for a Dallas to BWI flight on Sunday. I think the rumor we had our guys out their on Sunday is probably false—unless they flew commercial—but my guess is we took care of everything Monday and Tuesday.

I did find a potential match for the Duke plane. No confirmation, but a flight back and forth to Raleigh/Durham in the timeframe that they were reportedly there.

N525DG

I have really seen nothing for Atlanta. I guess reports have said he went to Atlanta to see his agent on Sunday, so maybe he flew commercial and talked to GT while he was there, and today was the official interview? However, there isn’t anything that resembles a private flight between BWI and Atlanta. This is the closest, but I think it looks like it is too far from Atlanta to be the right plane.

N60HM

Either they are flying him in commercial (classy) because their Chan Gailey buyout is bankrupting them, or they are sneakier than GJF and have untrackable planes. OR ALL OF THESE REPORTS ARE CRAZY RUMORS AND THEY AREN’T EVEN TALKING TO HIM AT ALL.

IF either of those are GT boosters, then, the first one indicates they came and picked him up (as we did) and they may still have him. The second one was on the ground at BWI for 4 or 5 hours this morning and headed back. Let's hope it's the second one!

I may have found Paul Johnson!

Looks like he could have flown in on N8HQ and flown back on N147NA. Both are registered to medical companies in Deleware. (I know we already discussed the Deleware registration tax break thing.)

So, either they are flying gunshot victims back and forth between Grady and Shock Trauma [or organs], or we may have figured out where in the world Paul Johnson is. He is probably pulling back into his home or office in Annapolis as we speak. Let's all send out some Pony (and/or Purple Hippo) Love in that direction!

Husker, you and the hippo Q-Stang are my heroes! I feel helpless here in Carolina. No sighting here yet.

I love flight tracking during coaching searches. Greatness.

So maybe a decision gets made tomorrow?

If the coaches meeting rumor at Navy is true, I would say so. We probably won't hear anything official until Friday though.

Interesting.....

The Beechcraft N147NA just made a quick turnaround and is headed back to Atlanta after less than an hour. Our Johnson must have been on it.

Guess we'll have to keep an eye out on BWI the next couple of days since we know they are using more than one plane.

Hope GJF-1 leaves Miami soon! We have faith in you, Gerald. We have faith.

Do you suspect that GJF is the bulk of the money behind the coach funding?
