I remember well the days of The Pigskin Revue at McFarlin Auditorium. I understand that the program is not quite like what it used to be, though. An SMU alum told me it's more of a 'dinner and dancing' kind of program now and it's held in the Fine Arts complex. Can you enlighten me and the others on this board? Thanks! It's held in Umphrey Lee Ballroom, and you can get 2 types of tickets. One includes a meal one doesn't.
We'll have music, singing, dancing, comedy (written by your truly, that is of course unless you think it sucked, in which case it was Mustang Sally who wrote it) and fun.

3 years ago, we went to the dinner/dance setting from the larger variety show. From what I understand, when the greeks backed out a few years ago, there wasn't much of a draw to fill McFarlin. Also back in the day, I know they "presented" the homecoming Queen candidates at Pigskin. Now, they just print it in the paper.

But, the band still puts on a hell of a show with a lot of music variety. Our arranger, Tommy Tucker, has been in charge of all music for Pigskin Revue since the 80's, so as far as that goes, you shouldn't expect anything different from the musical numbers. We have a dinner set first where we play about 1 hour worth of music while you eat. Then after a short intermission and uniform change by the band (Hey, we aren't the Best Dressed Band for nothing), we have a dance set where we open up the dance floor and you can shuffle and swing the night away with your favorite partner. All the money raised helps fund our band, so if you are in town Friday night, come see what SMU spirit is all about.
