I'm surprised that it's only 16. Tulsa was favored by 17 1/2 but it was in Tulsa. I guess they are giving us 3 points for home field advantage. I don't bet on sports but golly that 16 looks low. Fresno is having an off year for them but I think that line has to move up.

Okay I'll play the part of the eternal optimist. If Phillips plays the entire game with Pellerin, Cleveland and Comet at WR we may have a chance. Let me stop right there. We have to stop them. Do not bet on this game.

16 does seem a very low spread. I'm sure we'll see it balloon as the week progresses. How many times have we beat the line this year, once, if that? Fresno's had a "down" year for them, but still.

I sure hope we see more of Phillips. He got two drives and was at least able to move the offense on both. I know Bennett is trying to bring him along slowly (not allowing him to get pummeled into oblivion), but at least a series a quarter would be good. And like whoever posted above, I'd much rather see Cleveland, Pellerin and Comet. I can't put my finger on it, but over the season I've built up the impression that Griffin and Rushbrook aren't as realiable as you'd like. Comet may have lost a step, but he's wiley and has great hands - he'll kep the chains moving.

And personally, I think Phillips needs to play a whole lot more than one series per quarter. Maybe the whole game, but if not, then at least the vast majority of the snaps.

Fresno will score on us early and often, as they say, especially with Pinegar back. In his last two games he has a QB rating of 130.74 (that may be incorrect and low if a conversion counts like a TD in your pass efficiency.)

On the other hand their defense stinks. They have the worst ypc rushing allowed in the nation. And only average pass defense.

If we expect to compete in this game it will be by finding a way to score. Something we have not done.

So that 16 points is a risky bet if one was thinking of taking the Mustangs.
