TCU Game ObservationsWas glad to see Roberts finally stand up and have a good scoring game, Lord knows he deserves it....but to me the key was Killen, he was calm under pressure all game, made great passes and his slashing drives to the hoop for tough layups was crucial to keeping us close in the first half....He is definately our best player and seems to have confidence...If he can keep it rolling we might be able to win our share this year.
I would like to see more of Malone, his shot was a little off, but he really reminds me of Mike Wilson from our last championship team, he can put it on the floor and weave through little openings and get to the basket for a finger roll, he just needs to start making them. Ritter is coming along nicely after playing very few minutes his SMU career, he is going to be key going forward and is our defensive spark plug. Bamba still looks lost on offense, but had two crowd motivating dunks and finally started doing what he does best...altering shots. Dia looks to be coming along nicely, he has a nice little shot from the free throw line....very good at the catch and shoot. Ryan Harp's minutes need to go down, he is not ready for D1 basketball...Walker was solid at point but got a little tenative when he missed a couple of 3s... Great game and I look for things to only get better.....our core can keep improving and start winning all the games we should and post a couple of suprises along the way. Womack + Wishbone = Heisman

They looked like a team coming together - and almost coming apart in the last 3 minutes........The seniors did come to play tonight and Po Po Ritter is a man. When those frog posts tried to back him down, they were the ones stopped dead in their tracks. Loved it. Roberts looked very good after the first 3 minutes of the game.......
Doh has got to create some better inbounds plays and he has to make adjustments to them. I held my breath on every one tonight.
Dont forget Walker iced his FT's at the end - nice job for a frosh.
I think Dia is out best player already. Malone is our best shooter - he really works open. TCU was not a great team but they played tough D. Getting a win with this team was a good sign. This program is going places, and it wont be very long I think. Dont forget we have some depth sitting on the bench red shirting.
it was very nice to see those free throws fall after starting 0-4 i believe
"There ain't nothing you can't solve with one more beer"
I loved the Ritter D and his rebounding. Malone needed to be in the game towards the end, not sure why he was out. That was when our little run was happening but he took that lineup out.
Walker had some nice dishes to Fall. I think we had some decent spurts. TCU sucks but a win is great for this team right now. Um, please guard Hackett next time. That was stupid. Keep it going Mustangs!
i thought we played a fairly smart floor game, but i am absolutely baffled why we left hackett open over and over again.
They have both played...Rhodes much more, and will continue to get minutes, hes just hurt tonight..(hit his head in practice)...
T.K. has just played a few minutes in one game and is hurt with his back....possible he could sit out the rest of the year and keep his four years of eligiblity....not sure what the plan for him is though. Womack + Wishbone = Heisman

Your redshirt is burned the moment you step on the court for the first time. I'm not going to argue about this again, I've posted the actual rule straight from the NCAA manual on this board more times than I can count. If he sits out the rest of the year he can apply for a medical hardship waiver, but that requires documentation on the severity of the injury. If he plays or even practices again this year, the hardship waiver would be denied. Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
Yep,
That is true but I was figuring if his back is hurt and given the amount of time he played he could be eligible for a medical redshirt, if they chose to go that route. I think Doh wanted to redshirt both Rhodes and TK but after that pitiful opening weekend he asked them if they wanted to redshirt or play...and they both chose to burn the redshirt....
