It'S HalftIme aT moody...has Big O

I've not seen a half-time group booed before. Of course it was from the TCU section (I think) but those guys who performed --"I went to SMU"--were horrible.

Whoever is in charge of half-time activities should be fired. That was an embarrassment to the University.

who/what was up with halftime. those guys and their sound guy should be shot. i'll spare the fergaliscious girl that was trying to sing with them only because she had a good bod.

In this act's defense (I didn't see them obviously, so I don't know truly how horrible it was), Moody is not set up for good sound. But it could be. They don't have a "technical staff" in the traditional sense. When we arrived on homecoming day at 4 pm for a "sound check," a very nice fellow met us on the court and pointed to the announcer's mic on the scorer's table and said that was our sound system. I explained to him nicely that that wasn't going to work, and that we need two mic stands and two mics and something to plug my guitar into, and he said we don't have that capability. I said, well, we played McFarlin last night with all of that stuff and more, so I know we have these things on campus. About 10 minutes later a couple of mic stands were produced with some microphones from about 1972, and that's what we used. No plug in for the guitar, and that actually was not good, because it made us have to use one for the guitar and share the vocal mic again. Afterwards, we noticed, when looking at the plug in board, that yes we could have plugged the guitar in, had Moody had another 100 ft. cord, there was a hole there for it right there.

We had a blast, we didn't blame them for all that, we were pretty much drunk anyway after a day on the BLVD, and we actually blamed ourselves for not taking more of the technical stuff into our own hands. If/when we play Moody again, we definitely will.

Anyway all I'm saying is if the sound was bad at Moody tonight, don't be too [deleted] the fellas. Now bad rap on the other hand, is altogether somethin different...

i was being nice with the sound part. it was all the talent, or complete lack thereof. let's just say that they didn't really have much going on. now or ever.

We were on the other side, and took the opportunity to go buy the kid some M&Ms and re-up our Mustang Club membership. Anything to get away from the awful noise and weird hooded costume on the court.

Whats really funny is we were with a friend that went to TCU and before the performance, the shorter, mohawk boy was sitting down on the court wearing a green polo (before they donned the pony^ tees) and we were jabbing back and forth about which school the d went to!!!

-that sadly backfired on us... and then some!!
