thanks Stallion, and Pony Fan. The situation we are in is like erosion. This didn't happen over-night, and will not be solved over-night. But it IS being solved, and THAT is the most important thing. We are all frustrated, but there is light at the end of the tunnel! If you love this program, then show your strength, and loyalty when SMU needs you the most. It will be rewarded! Go Mustangs!!!!!!!

It starts with recruiting and with maturity you get the improvement.
Exactly what I was saying about the Houston miracle: Dimel has nice classes that were mostly redshirted, and then they added a QB that already knew the system (a Top QB).

"Dave Maggard the AD at UH told Art Briles we need a winning season now. Not next year. NOW! Briles told his team "We're not rebuilding we want to win now." And thats what he and the Coogs are doing."

The UH solution is easy for SMU to implement. Tomorrow before practice Jim Copeland should regally march the Mustang Band to Ford Stadium, wrap himself in Peruna's blanket while holding President Turners' ceremonial baton out above the heads of the gathered coaching staff and players and proclaim "...We need to start winning now. Not next year. NOW!

Let the winning streak begin.

You guys DO realize that the last thing this team needs right now is to learn a completely new offensive scheme, right?

No, dont even start with the handoff to KK jokes.

As much as Edmonson bugs me, I'm not going to call for his ousting barely 2 years into this.

The poster that said earlier that we dont know all the specifics of everything is correct. A lot goes on behind the scenes that people don't know about. Trust me, there's a lot more accountability and soul searching than you think.

These guys are fighting for their jobs. They want a win as much as anyone else here.

Rebuilding takes time. This is different from Cavan's tenure because Cavan didn't have the same deal as Bennett. Bennett will get this team winning, but we have to have patience. It's frustrating as hell to see other Texas teams enjoy success, but you guys should all know that TCU didnt enjoy instant success either, and even they were outrecruiting us and had more resources during their down years.

A lot of you have waited 15 years.
I've waited 4.
I guess I've got time yet to be impressed.

Hopefully we'll all be as excited as our Frog friends soon enough.

Briles had two years worth of recruits from Dimmel (and establish coach that came over from Wyoming - back when they were good)
