I saw on the home page where he's the new Pony of the Week - congratulations on a much-deserved honor. Based on what I read of the game and heard over the internet, he kept on running, even though everyone in Oklahoma knew he was getting the ball
While we're on the Pony of the Week, kudos to whoever runs the site. It would be so easy to go football and basketball all the way, but going with soccer and volleyball the last two weeks shows this site supports all SMU sports, not just the revenue sports. :thumbupcool:

What revenue sports? Please show me an athletic program at this school that generates revenue.Originally posted by EP Pony Fan:

Re: Kincade
Come on Prof X, all the sports that require a ticket be purchased in order to see them play is generating revenue...just not enough revenue to cover costs, but revenue all the same.
Profit is another matter that few institutions ever see...especially SMU.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Kincade
Under your definition, then ALL our sports are revenue sports, because everything requires buying a ticket to see it. Is that correct? If so, why then use the term revenue sports, if it applies to all of them?Originally posted by PK:

Don't ask me, I didn't coin the term. BTW, do you have to buy tickets to watch volleyball, rowing, cross-country and some of the other track and field events? Obviously I haven't been to any of these so I really don't know. Just asking the question for my edification. Thanks.
