Coach Jones grew up in Hawaii and loves it out there (for more than the beaches and other tourist attractions). I doubt there's a job in the country  including a return to the NFL  that ever will lure him off the islands.
More snipe hunt material.
Darth actually heard Jones' name mentioned at a local adult beverage establishment the other night by someone who might know. All Darth could think of was this is better than a Soviet Union disinformation campaign!
u meant the 12 million dollar game right?
re: most of them probably don't make 800k
doesn't 800K in Dallas spend alot farther? cost of living? C-ya @ Milos!
the school/conference will only get about 5 mill...they split the cost...so UGA/SEC will get about 5 mil just like Hawaii/WAC
Not true - Jones grew up near Houston .... Texas.
Houston's in Texas? When did that happen? I could swear it was in Hawaii. ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
Um, don't think so. He grew up in Portland, Oregon and played at Hawaii. GO MUSTANGS!
FIGHT ON!

It is during his time at Portland State that he would be introduced to the Run & Shoot offense by Mouse Davis. It would be an offense that he would later champion throughout his coaching career. Thereafter, he entered professional football, playing for the Atlanta Falcons (1977-1981) of the National Football League and the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (1982). June Jones is a white guy. A moustache. About six-foot-three (awfully big moustache). He's from Detroit. An ex-boxer. His real name is Joey Chicago. Fought under the name of Kid Minneapolis. I saw him fight once in Cincinnati. No wait, that was Kid New York. He fought out of Philly. That guy was killed in the ring in Houston. By Tex Colorado. You know, the Arizona Assassin from North Dakota. I remember it was North Dakota because his brother was from South Dakota.
I would have named him February.
A+ for Naked Gun Reference!
