One last thing about this silly ranking. if you look at the past weeks rankings you will see the following teams:
Clemson
Auburn
Wisconsin
Kansas State
Notre Dame
If you actually think that at any point those teams were among the 10 worst in the nation you are crazy. That list is just a way to kick someone when they're down.

I enrolled at SMU in 1968. before many of you were even born. SMU has been in the bottom 10 before, but I do not recall the absolute worst. never number 1 from the bottom, never.
while SMU had marginal teams, they seem to be able to muster up one upset a season. not this year. I don't advocate firing yet another coach but this coach better improve his managerial skills.
