yeah, not liked until we start winning, that drives applications by high school kids up. that means the school can increase their admission standards. that means that you've got 'smarter' students at the school. that makes the faculty happy. if you need a direct reference here, look west to TCU. their applications increased 40% when they went 10-1. and have continued to rise.
Northwestern applications went up from about 8,000 a year to about 16,000 when Gary Barnett was coaching them!

He is very approachable. I talked to him several times during my time at SMU. He even called me back several times when I left messages with his secretary. More than I can say for most people in his position
very true, at my high school of 1,100, i couldnt even get a chance to say "hi" to the principal

Yeah, but not because he was the coach. They went up because the team was winning. If Ted Bundy had coached Northwestern to the Rose Bowl, applications would have gone up.
Plagiarize!
Let no one else's work evade your eyes.
Remember why the good lord made your eyes.
So don't shade your eyes, just
Plagiarize, plagiarize, plagiarize!
(Only be sure always to call it, please .... "research.")

EXACTLY winning is everything. it's good for the university as a whole.

Give us another stab at a wart free guy and then we will go after someone with a past.
We don't have time to take stabs. That should have been done 5 weeks ago. It's time to make something happen. Also, Orsini is the sports guy and this should be his call.

Look at Northwestern's record since Barnetts departure and you just might get a clue as to why they went to that Rose Bowl. HE'S A GOOD COACH, HIRE HIM!

Fire Turner? Are you joking? Some of you must not remember Pye. Turner is a great president and should get credit for raising millions, hiring Orsini, etc., etc. and in the end will be looked at as the president that took SMU sports to the next level.

Just get SMU into the top 50 academically and let the AD take care of athletics. The more he lets Orsini do his job without being hamstrung the easier his job will be. You need only look at USC, they were a top 50 and now practically a top 25 institution as per us news.
