Top 25 in Everything We Do

Postby ThadFilms » Fri Dec 07, 2007 7:52 pm

Well Orsini doesn't have a coach but he managed to show it to us again, in two ways.

1 - We are offering Top 25 money.
2 - PF.com has been banging away like a top 25 board.

Seriously, I used ot - and it may go back to this - always hate it that there would be 12 of us here and you could get caught up on all the days posts in say ten minutes. Now I have to pick and choose which threads to read/catch up on. I used to read every single one just so I wouldn't miss anything.

I always found it funny that we clamored for more news coverage but if you took this board and made it an example of the diehard support... it was a ghost town.

Stallion railing on the model.
MM65 caliming we'll win every game until the day he, sadly, quit the sunshining business.
PonyPride giving us the most in depth Mustang coverage around.
2 high school kids who reminded us what being a fan was really about (one or both ending up going to schools elsewhere).
.... and everybody else hoping we would win, wondering who the quarterback was the following year, and complaining about DMN coverage.

It's nice to hope on and see about 40 unread threads, and have to choose. Different opinions. Even though Orsini's conducting the search in the dark, there are a lot of us thirsting for news, and cracking TWSS jokes.

The flight thread was probably more fun than any game thread I've followed.

Orsini needs to make the right hire, or this board will go back to what it has been, an echo chamber for the 20 people (I know there's more than that) who still lived and died SMU football.

I know some of the longtimers are unhappy with all the new faces, but I welcome it. Take your hat off, stay a while.

And long live the purple hippo!!! Just as long as he doesn't take mrydel's seat.

Anyone remember the days when we had a coach who could read the boards if he so chose?

What - are coaches "not allowed" to read the fan boards? I though that most simply chose not to.

Well, last time I checked we don't have a coach TO read the boards. Not a question of ability, just at the fact that we have a vacancy.
