side. Sure Orsini & Co. get blind sided by Johnson & his agent, but Orsini actually raised over 10+ Million for a new coach here ! Guys that kind of money can get us an excellent coach if the adminisration does not screw it up......They need to really think this through over the week end and not jump at our first option. Sure we are way behind in recruiting at this point, but they have got to find the right hire. Even if it takes some more time......Johnson is not the only good proven coach out there at this kind of money....

My point is that SMU has now stepped up the price it is willing to pay a new coach. Once this soaks in over the next few days, other potential proven coaches should be calling to throw there names into consideration. We just can't jump at our 1st chance. This is going to take some more time to do it right.

If PJ blindsided Orsini & Co, we are in big trouble. We are going at this all wrong, as evident by the fact that we don't have a coach. Yes take this weekend and regroup as an institution. Stop advertising 10-12mil, that we obviously don't have. Take a step back and realize who we are and get a proven JUCO HC or go into the HS ranks and bring in the coach with the highest winning percentage in Texas HS history, Joey Florence Denton Ryan High. He can put together a staff that will get us a CUSA championship.
