Congrats to Stallion
The homepage has a new feature called "Poster of the week" and our favorite poster Stallion was the winner this week.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Congrats to Stallion
Absolutely hysterical.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Re: Congrats to Stallion
Congratulations to you, Stallion. I don't always agree with your opinions, but of course we all have the right to our own opinions. Your posts on this site sometimes are harsh, but they don't come across as pointless bashing - you always seem to post only when you back up your claims. The post the webguys chose was not an uplifting rah-rah post, but your idea of an independent audit of the program has legs to it. Enjoy your hat, or whatever you grab from the Spirit Shop.

I would have gone with the hot-air balloon but I guess I'll settle for the reasonable facsimile.

Re: Congrats to Stallion
Stallion is the only poster on this board that deserves that award. He deserves to win every week because he's the only one that actually offers real solutions to our problems.
There's nothing "rah-rah" about losing. What do you expect?

Re: Congrats to Stallion
Well deserved. Stallion sometimes gets accused of ranting for the sake of making noise, but more often than not, his points are valid, if not always popular. Well done, Stallion.
I'm winning next week! Need some new SMU gear.

Re: Congrats to Stallion
Stallion has contributed more than any other poster to the destructive concept of seniors/juniors versus the rest of the team. His constant ranting of"lack of talent" of the combined junior/senior class, has only contributed to an already worsening condition. To recognize him for anything is an insult to those who have the teams best interest at heart.Anybody on this board is capable of recommending an outside audit. Thats just good business practice whether business is good or bad.To recomend it as Stallion did is a waste of space.Audits many times become controlled by those being audited.Just support the players and coaches as an entity and give them some breathing space.

all kidding (and pictures) aside - I think that this designation is more akin to TIME's Person of the Year. That is given to the biggest newsmaker of the each year - not as an "award"
same as Jim Rome's "huge call of the day" - it is for the best reasoned and delivered message, not necessary content we all agree with
