a few names to consider

Postby ALEX LIFESON » Sat Dec 08, 2007 12:45 pm

Dirk Koetter-OC for Jacksonville, former Arizona St. HC
Mike Shula-QB coach for Jacksonville, fired from Alabama last year.
Chan Gailey-teams earned 6 bowls births in a row at GT. similar academics.
Chris Peterson-Boise St.- innovotive offense, gets maximum out of mid level talent. $2 million? Give him a chance to say no.
And of course....Terry Bowden.
Oh, and Todd Graham, the guy can coach, rebuild, recruit, has a full head of hair, and he is from the area. For 2 million, he just might move home.

I said to "consider", plus ya never know where we will be, if Steve gets a couple of more "no thanks" from HC's. Plus, all of these guy's have college HC experience.

Would it be better to have someone GT fired or someone Nebraska fired or someone Miami fired?

Knute Walker the LB coach at Alabama A&M. Maybe he's a mix between Knute Rockne and Doak Walker?

If we're going down the fired coaches list, I would prefer Shula. However, as much as I hate to say it Billy C wouldn't be the worst we could do, but part of his contract would HAVE TO be that Kevin Cosgrove is not allowed within 100 miles of Dallas!

Forgot Fran was at bama and how he left them for more money at A&M which is why everyone associated with bama loved to see him be such a disappointment with the aggies. I would never take fran. When i mentioned the state i mainly was refering to applewhite, shula or bowden.

I realize you are not a fan of Fran. I don't have a problem with him being our next coach, but I was just giving you a hard time.
