I belong to the Mustang Club and I don't get bupkiss for it. I live 2500 miles away from Dallas. I get to go to one game every couple of years. But I send in my money to help the athletic department. I also send money to the annual fund to support the school, too. Like I said to those who call for Bennett's firing. Find a suitable replacement and bring a $1 Million check to Copeland to pay for firing Bennett, or shut up.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Well now, if you WERE a member, you could be THE ONE with the BALLS to stand up and be a forceful advocate for a strong Division 1A football program. You might even get some of the other members with NO balls to stand up with you. You haven't seemed to have had much influence being a non-member and just posting on the fan sites.

I'm not attacking you here as you have many valid points and criticisms. What I am saying is just maybe you could have more impact within an organization designed to support and promote athletics at SMU as opposed to being a lone voice shouting in the wilderness.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Past Nacho Posts....(This is the guy Stallion Defends!)

Stallion prefers attacking people like Professor X, name calling Mustang Club Members and then defends the Nachos!

From Nacho 10/19/2003 - (admitting he is not a long term fan)

"This is the last time I will buy season tickets for any SMU sport. I stopped basketball season tickets before last season. I will not renew Mustang Club dues. This season I may go to a couple of basketball games, if the opponent interests me. I may go to one soccer game. Next football season I may go to one or two games. After that it is all over. SMU will be in my rearview mirror. So you see for me this is really the last hurrah. I have to get in some last licks. After this football season you will never hear from me again"

From Nacho 10/19/03 - (Encouraging SMU Fans to not attend games)

"If I were in the Band I would stay home and study. Possibly go to a movie. Do something fun for a change"

From Nacho 10/20/2003

(demeaning SMU Fans that want to support the SMU Team and go to road games)

"Buy your tickets now. Have a nice road trip. Losers"

From Nacho 10/20/2003 (showing he is a liar!)

"I wanted my last post on Ponyfans to end on a positive note"

A new tactic from the Mustang Club. Attack Mustang Club members who are also season ticket holders. If that's your game go ahead. Anything to deflect from an 0-8 season. Pretty sad.

#1. I am not the Mustang Club, so it is not a "tactic from the Mustang Club".

#2. I am happy you support the Mustang Club unlike Stallion! At least you are putting your money where your mouth is. Nacho I applaud you for this.

#3. My "game" is to respond to so called SMU Fans that are encouraging SMU fans to not attend games, call SMU fans that travel to road games to support the team "LOSERS", and proclaim "SMU will soon be in my rear view mirror".

That is what I call sad!

The losers comment I regret. It was in response to someone who called me an idiot on more than one occasion.

I have not and never will try to discourage fans from going to a game at Ford. I see no reason why anyone should go to an away game. It is a waste of time and money. I went to the TT and Baylor games. Wasted time and money. I will not go to the La Tech game. Will save time and money.

Are you sure you aren't from the Mustang Club?

re: Finally, as for the "loyal" Professor X-he has taken a shot at each and every coach this school has had since these message boards have been up without any real recognition of the barriers he KNOWS they face-this time after 1 1/2 years of a coach's tenure-that's how loyalty is defined around the Mustang Club-who are we going to fire next! Bennett wasn't my choice either but for all these loyal Mustang Clubbers to start jumpin' ship now turns my stomach

Stallion do you realize Professor X played football at SMU? :hmm:

How in the world could you question Professor X's loyalty to the program?

He knows who I am, when I first started posting I used my real name. I didnt become Prof. X until a few years ago.

Thank you all for your concern, but I can defend myself. I've been too busy the last 3 days to really respond, but tomorrow sometime I should be able to frame my thoughts in the matter and type it out.

You shouldnt assume that a former player is automatically loyal. I know a few who arent. My own thoughts on the matter have become a bit mixed lately, but thats a subject for another time.
You are all sheep.
