At the time he believed he would have a shot a the Nebraska job & as someone just posted doesn't want to move his daughter. The NU job is gone, I hope we have re contacted him. Like stallion & big dad said he could really thrive in Texas recruiting. You would think a million plus dollar a year job his daughter could make the move.
She doesn't have to move. She has a mother, stay in Buffalo if you want. The money will be enough.
That's what i'm thinkin. Their must be something more there. Is it possible he doesnt know his value? Na that's what agents are for. Maybe he doesnt have an agent? Stallion give him call maybe you can pick up a client.
You don't raise $10 million to hire Turner Gill.

a million bucks can pay for a couple houses. and college. Go get Turner Gill. Let him used Fords jet a few times per year for Buffalo to Dallas trips. Its not like these guys see much of their families in the fall anyway. Must be a way to work it out and allow this guy to keep his family happy.

Why not? Brother aint worth that kind of money? We have wasted 2x that much with the losers we have had the last ten years.
His contacts in Dallas have probably expressed to him the "coaching graveyard" that exsist here as well as the racial bias.

Does it matter? Everyone associated with SMU is racist, so shouldn't we be running you off for being a carpetbagging yankee agitator?
We've got no evidence SMU has racial bias in its hiring process.

Who said anything about hiring practices? There are plenty of ways to show a racial bias other than through hiring practices. All are hard to prove in todays world, since everything is done on the cool.
Why is PJ worth 1.5 and Gil is not?

He has a winning record, 2 D1-AA National Championships, and YEARS more experience.
Plus, he said he is not interested, so why don't we drop it.

I wasn't the one trying to get him an interview. I just question post that have the nerve to discredit someone based on race. I still want to know why Gil is not worth the 1.5 and PJ is? You don't have to respond, but I will continue to question the validity of post with these type of undertones. pJ has not done [deleted]. DII and Navy. We will see what he does at GT. He was scared to come here, because he would have got exposed. You really have to coach here!

PJ built Navy into a respectable, competitive program. some would say he's worth the 1.5 because of his record and ability to build programs. turner gill has had ONE HC position and led Buffalo to 5-17 in two years. PJ is 107-39 after leading Ga Southern to multiple titles and Navy to 5 straight bowl games.
still wondering why people were offering PJ 1.5 and Turner Gill didnt even get a phone call?
