Those drives both suck. Horribly. And Blacksburg is worse. But nothing compares to having to drive to Lubbock. And with Richmond and JMU we wouldn't even have to pay them any money. They'd look at a postcard of Dallas, UP, and SMU, then look around them, and they'd be sold, even if we didn't have a football team.

Heard that earlier today, and found it hard to believe. If you're Coach Jones and you're a little frustrated that even though your team is undefeated, a lot of folks don't know your team because your games are on in the middle of the night (for the rest of the country), why WOULDN'T you go to New York with Brennan? I would think he'd be there like a proud dad, with his arm around Brennan and jumping in front of every camera he could, telling the world how great his guy is.
Even though he didn't win the thing, just getting invited is a huge accomplishment ... and Jones skips this for a book signing?
Posted on: December 6, 2007 at 9:29:29 pm Kudos to Colt's absentee supporters June Jones and quarterback coach Dan Morrison did a cool thing. They both stepped aside to allow Colt Brennan to invite two other guests to Saturday's Heisman ceremony. Each finalist receives 10 tickets into the actual room where the show will be shot. Jones was a natural choice. But he opted to pass.
Also, Hawaii television reports JJ interviewing with UCLA and may have already done so last week:
Perhaps, they were going for the other SMU thing going on in DC. You know the W Library. They might have been going in to sew up some finer points. Just a thought.
