I wasn't the one trying to get him an interview. I just question post that have the nerve to discredit someone based on race. I still want to know why Gil is not worth the 1.5 and PJ is? You don't have to respond, but I will continue to question the validity of post with these type of undertones. pJ has not done [deleted]. DII and Navy. We will see what he does at GT. He was scared to come here, because he would have got exposed. You really have to coach here!

PJ built Navy into a respectable, competitive program. some would say he's worth the 1.5 because of his record and ability to build programs. turner gill has had ONE HC position and led Buffalo to 5-17 in two years. PJ is 107-39 after leading Ga Southern to multiple titles and Navy to 5 straight bowl games.

still wondering why people were offering PJ 1.5 and Turner Gill didnt even get a phone call?

Yes I am . G. Southern? Most of you did not even here about G. Southern until we tried to hire PJ. Now you are riding G. Southern like they made history in DII. Navy? Navy? We offer a coach from Navy 1.5m when he is probably getting 500k and room and board. Hell yea I am still wondering. I guess the coaches being mentioned now are out of our price range. You people suck trying to make be believe you have any knowledge about college athletics. Can't you see everybody across the nation including PJ thinks you are a joke. Gil is at a University that has not won a game in ten years. 5-17 for Buffalo is a big accomplishment, as the coaches of the conference admitted by naming Gil coach of the year. When PB went 6-6 here, he should have been coach of the year.

The Navy coach was making over $1 mil a year, and it is estimated that his total compensation package was close to $1.5 mil, plus free housing. That, plus his extensively longer resume, is why he is worth more than a coach making $200,000 a year.

so by your logic, our coach of the year, bennett should have gotten a raise and extension last year? just because he lead the Bulls to 5-17 over the last two years does not warrant premium coaching money.

so does that mean Mangino should get top dollar because he took a 6-6 Kansas team to 11-1? you do not throw money at a coach because he took a team from 1 win to 3 or 4 in 2 years. you give a coach money when he is a proven winner and has displayed his skills at managing a college football program

His resume in DI coaching is short. His total coaching resume if you count his assistant jobs are no better than Gils. He just makes more so he can demand more, because he won't leave for less of course.

Gill, who was part of three national championships as a coach at the University of Nebraska and a Heisman Trophy finalist as a player, agreed to a five-year contract to become the 23rd head football coach at the University at Buffalo on December 16, 2005.

Gill, 44, who spent the 2005 season serving as Player Development Director and Offensive Assistant with the Green Bay Packers, was lauded as one of the nation's top recruiters while an assistant coach at Nebraska from 1992-2004. The Cornhuskers won national titles in 1994, 1995 and 1997 during that span.

Gill, who was selected following a national search, brings with him tremendous success as both a player and coach. Consider how few head coaches in America can claim to have:

I could add more if you like to make it longer. Pound for pound PJ's resume is no better, other than his championships in DII. Well, lets just go get a DII coach?

you're just rephrasing the same garbage as before. Turner Gill does not deserve a $1.5M a year offer from SMU. period.

No, this is your logic. PJ has accomplished what he did at Navy and that is it. Nobody but people who want to make him a coach gives a crap about G. Southern or his OC duties at Hawaii. So it is Navy for PJ verses what I posted about Gill. Take your pick. It doesn't make any difference neither one is coming.

That is what I thought you would say. Back your [deleted] up with evidence dude. Blacks have to constantly do more on a larger scale to land the same job and get the same money as whites.

Now I know that TG must be black if bigdaddy is defending him so much and arguing about pay discrepancies. Does Todd Dodge also deserve $1.5MM a year? Maybe after next year when his son comes in and runs his offense?

"You don't raise $10 million to hire Turner Gill."

This is a quote from one of your booty buddies. What does this undertone smell like to you? Race is always a factor and you don't have to say anything when everything you say smells of it. Trying to deny it is worse than just telling the truth.

undertone? you are the only moron talking about race. he is not a proven winner, and that is why he doesn't deserve $1.5M a year. being an assistant coach for the packers does not warrant big money. shut the hell up about race

Winning at NAVY does? It will always be about race when it comes to money and position. Blacks have to be bigger, stronger, faster and smarter. You can say what you want. At least I am man enough to keep it real and not keep it on the cool. Just say what it is.

YES. winning at Navy and a DivII school with national titles does warrant more money than a 2 year HC with 5 wins. nothing racial there. just the facts. and i seem to hear you talk about facts a lot
