why you burn Phillips redshirt and then use him this sparingly??? When he does get in the game the play calling is so predictable that he has very little opportunity to learn or show anything. I have NEVER seen a more predictable and simple offensive game plan as this. Yes, I know we are very limited in receivers and in the o-line but my god, this is beyond ridiculous. I would much rather see Phillips throw three incompletions to any of the freshmen receivers than handing it to KK twice and running a draw on third down. Phillips threw 2 passes today! 2 passes! What a joke. Put him in the damn game and let him play! Lucky for Copeland, Bennett, and Edmondson that nobody cares about SMU football because they should have to answer some tough questions. Lastly, every time I see Wallis run onto the field I think the same thing I do when I see Shawn Bradley walking to the scorer’s table, why? Each week it gets harder and harder to follow this program and believe in this coaching staff.

I hear you. I feel your pain. I've already posted on this. I would like to hear some other opinions also. I heard booing today. Haven't heard that before. (Usually the crowd is comatose by the 2nd quarter). It was directed at Bennett for playing Wallis. Look I'm not trying to dog Wallis. He is a kid doing the best he can. I don't have a problem with that. I wasn't booing but I understood where that was comimg from. People are very frustrated. They want a change. They got more of the same.

one other thought - it is obvious by now (after 7-8 trys) that when you get to the five we can't KK in - try Fitgerald going wide to the corner - he is a half step faster.

I think Bennett must have watched Remember the Titans one too many times. He believes in Denzel's offense, 'I run six plays, and eventually they will work, they always do.'
