SMU making an offer to Jeff Bower

I heard from a reliable source at Southern Miss that Bower is at the top of the SMU wish list and an offer will come within the next day or two. I'll let you know if I hear anything more.

Bower is a good coach, but he would make Chan Gailey look like a wild man.

I don't know if he's as splashy as Bowden, and I don't care. I'd be ecstatic with Bower.

we have been waiting all of this time for Bower?? no way. he is a safety hire at this point (although we could do a lot worse)...
