Coker won with Butch Davis' players. They steadily got worse as Coker's tenure continued.

Not saying he's a bad coach, but, personally, I think he's overrated. He's still good, just not as good as a lot of people think, in my humble opinion.

They may have been Butch Davis' players but the point is that Coker took those players further than Davis was able to: he won a national championship with those players, which Davis never did.
What good is it to have all the talent in the world but not be able to do anything with it?
