Then UCLA hires their coach leaving SMU
as the only school without a HC.

Who cares 3 years from now how long it took just as long as the W's
are there, right?

If Michigan and UCLA have had to wait this long to find a coach, then SMU can't complain. There were too many BIG openings this year for us to have a chance at a name coach.
