TCUseless's ranking...Ok, tell me what piece I'm missing here.
They're saying on Killerfrogs.com that no matter what happens at the TCU SMU game, their ranking will drop. Is that true? Has this been Bennett's plan all along? Boy, how happy I am to know that no matter what happens at that game, we're gonna stick it to the frogs! HAHAHA Take it, morons. The Spaz WHERE'S MY KETCHUP?!?!?!
Re: TCUseless's ranking...true, because many of the computer rankings consider your opponents' ranking, their opponents rankings,etc...and our WAC schedule plus having played Baylor won't help. An undefeated TCU will do well to stay within the top 12 in the BCS ranking, but has virtually no hope of a BCS game.
Re: TCUseless's ranking.........let's NOT forget, add-run u. hasn't EXACTLY played ANYBODY to date, now have they????
Re: TCUseless's ranking...As I said in an earlier post, TCU weak schedule is their own damn fault. They perrenially schedule SMU and will continue to for the next 100 years. They also have Army on their conference schedule the current only other winless team in Div. 1, and recent history shows them to be a pretty [deleted] poor team. Now knowing that, what does TCU do?
Well, they went and scheduled Navy. I guarantee that when they scheduled that game, Navy was coming off a 0 or 1 win season. Who else? TCU went out and scheduled the perrenial powerhouse that is Vanderbilt. Brilliant. Give them credit for scheduling Arizona. That had a chance to be an actual game, but Mackovic lost that team and that win is meaningless now. Again, I know margin of victory isn't part of the BCS, but TCU poll rankings (and thus BCS) might be higher if they'd beat a conference foe by more than 7 points, too. TCU's problems are of their own design. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: TCUseless's ranking...I would take TCU's "BCS problem" over the one we have now. Anyway if TCU ends the season undefeated they will play in the Fiesta Bowl. The BCS does not want to give the Anti-BCS crowd any more ammo for their crusade.
Re: TCUseless's ranking...UL is #25 this week in the Coaches poll. If they beat the crap out of them and move up 3-4 slots in the HUMAN polls, then they have a chance.
Re: TCUseless's ranking...Remember that the BCS computation also gives some credit for AP, USA Today ratings which are not computer generated. Today they were ranked 12 and 13 and haven't played SMU yet. Their rankings in those polls have nothing to do with the scheduled SMU game. It is the opinion of the writers that they have shown them nothing to date to merit a Top 10 ranking. They squeaked by Navy and had to work hard to beat UH. They really haven't dominated anyone, yet. I suspect that they will try and run up the score on us, just to get the attention of the writiers and coaches polls. Hopefully, our defensive backs will have career days.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: TCUseless's ranking...It doesn't serve our purposes (enhancing the value of non-BCS schools) to enjoy TCU's dilemma. With or without our impact on their SOS, TCU won't get invited to the party because the Mid-Majors by definition can't create schedules to match a BCS Conference top to bottom, thereby handicapping any team, even if it is undefeated.
Unless you are in one of the six (perhaps five in the future), you won't get an invite until the BCS adds an additonal Bowl and automatically includes MWC, Conf. USA and WAC schools who win their conference and are ranked in the TOP 12-15 at seasons end. I wish them well (they earned it) but their perfect record will be broken against us. How do we improve? Not by wishing them ill will. Go Ponies! [ 11-03-2003, 07:41 AM: Message edited by: Water Pony ] Pony Up
Re: TCUseless's ranking...Its pretty sad when the only way you can get excited is that your horrible team will hurt our SOS.
Re: TCUseless's ranking...My how short our memories are when failing to recall 1997. :hmm:
Go RED! Go BLUE! Go MUSTANGS! S-M-U!!

Re: TCUseless's ranking...Yeah, well, at this point I'll take what I can get. And I love screwing you morons up anyway possible. Just wait till BBall season, chuckleheads... WHERE'S MY KETCHUP?!?!?!
Re: TCUseless's ranking...Spaz, we don't play them this year in bball.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
Re: TCUseless's ranking...YOU'RE KIDDING?!!??!?1
WHY THE F*&^ NOT?!?!?!? Don't we play them first game in Women's bball? This is stupid. They just play us in football to add another win, but won't play us in other sports. You know, that sucks, because now we'll have NOTHING to hold over them athletically and all I'll argument for the next year will be whatever the score was for the game this year. Great....Just what I need... Oh well, we're still screwing them in the butt over this ranking thing...HAHAHA The Spaz WHERE'S MY KETCHUP?!?!?!
