Then why the wait for Coker? Should have hired him right off. And it probably won't take that much $$.

Didn't Miami have some NCAA type problems while Coker was coach? It seems to me that there was some shopping trip to a shoe store or something like that?

I really dont think you could do any worse. And Coker was there for the taking the day after you fired Bennett. Mason, Barnett, Bowden, Neuhisal are all light years better choices than Coker too.

Bad hire compared to the quote "best available HC". We are scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Coker is 70 years old (no discrimination here) and been out of coaching for 2-3 years maybe. This is not what we are looking for. This is a CJ interview if CJ is helping out. This is an interview only I hope. If not maybe he can do what O'Leary is doing at UCF. Maybe he can get some of the Miami boys this way. He still has contacts there.

As much as it makes me want to throw up in my mouth, I'd have to agree with Stallion that I'd take Todd f'in Dodge over Larry Coker. Surely Orsini is throwing up a smokescreen.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Coker is 70 years old .

Uh, your math needs some fine tuning. Larry Coker (born June 23, 1948)

He's 60 and he looks 85. Talk about a face for the program. Just a ridiculous hire. Laughable really. Talk about falling on your face. To even interview the guy is a joke. Once again Tulsa didn't want him and then Rice passed on him. How do you rationalize that?

I was afraid Chan was going to get it. Wonder what took so long.

I don't think WVU or UCLA wants him so I guess we can announce it.

Do we know that the interview was for the HC job? I'm pretty excited if it as OC.

fyi...2008 less 1948 = 60, not 70.

BD, what makes you think you have to offer all candidates $2 million? Do you know what or if PJ was offered?
