Didn't we already establish that somebody on this board has a kid with special needs and comments like that in the picture are not appreciated?

If we did, I missed it.
I just posted that by accident anyway. Sorry.

I would like to think that even if we DIDN'T have someone on the board with a special needs child that we would have some semblance of sensitivity and not cut down the defenseless.

Jeez, with all of the crap that's thrown out on this board, and this post gets 10 responses in 5 minutes. No offense intended, seriously... just a joke.
Moving on now...

True, thinking that you would just take the stupid thing down was giving you way too much credit. My Bad.

Way back in 1966 Penn State went 5-5, the next year they improved to 8-2-1, then two back-to-back 11-0 seasons. JoePa proved he could coach Penn State before he ever had a bad year. He had 13 double digit win seasons (including 4 undefeated seasons and 5 one-loss seasons). Joe Pa didn't have a losing season until 1988 (his 22nd season).
Tom Landry took over the Dallas Cowboys in 1960 and sported an 0-11 season his first year. The next few years he went to 4-9, 5-8, 4-10, 5-8, 7-7, 10-3, 9-5, 12-2, etc. He improved each year with the exception of the 1963 season and the 1967 season, but it's really hard to argue that the Cowboys did not improve under his watch.
Finally, Tom Osborne did not get fired, he retired. How can you possibly make the comparison of Larry Coker and Tom Osborne, a man who never lost more that 3 games a season in his career and never won less that 9 per season. Again, Tom Osborne did not steadily decline in record like Larry Coker.
Larry Coker got fired because he steadily declined Miami into mediocrity, regardless of conference change, and lost control of his team. Miami was the most undisciplined team in college football. They were an embarrassment.
Here's the problem with your comparison: How can Larry Coker improve over time like Paterno and Landry when his first season he was 12-0? Other than going undefeated every year, you can only do worse. When he had one bad season at 6-6 (7-6 after the bowl) he never was given a chance to bounce back - he was fired.
I HATE the University of Texas!
