Here's the email I just got from the AD's office:

Please join me, SMU Athletics Director Jim Copeland, and the
University community for the official announcement of SMU's new membership
in Conference USA at noon on Wednesday, November 5, in the Commons of
the Hughes-Trigg Student Center.

I'm pleased. That TCU might leave puts a bit of a damper on it though. I was looking forward to having all the SWC cast-offs back together. Oh well. I guess we all have to do what we think is best.

Best thing about CUSA - every other year in New Orleans!!! Yeah baby! - Its no Fresno but I guess we'll get by.
