AMATEURS!!!!!!!
My wife will not leave a store without a purchase unless there is a penalty involved. In that case she will leave with ample coupons or rebates for future purchases. It does often take much time for the purchase to be made but it will be made. If your wives are not coming home with goods in hand then I would question where they have actually been. If they smell like Brut, you might check XTC's place.

And we put all our eggs in that basket and there is absolutely no evidence that we had a backup plan, which we should have put into action as soon as he headed to inteview at GT. Definitely did not appear to be handled in a professional or effective manner.

I'm not talking about my wife going shopping alone, I am talking about the times when she coherces me to go with her. Believe me, there is nothing I hate more than shopping with my wife. Love the woman to death, but it's like watching a large animal toy around with its prey for HOURS, and then just walking away with everyone left to wonder "what the hell just happened"?

In which store can you shop for a wife? Do they take trade-ins? Are the new models more expensive than the older ones? Can I afford this purchase? Can I live without it? More importantly, can I live with it?
I need a vacation. Let me know when we have made a buy.

Shockingly enough, the maintenance & ownerships costs of a wife FAR outweigh the purchase price. Buyer beware!

I went shopping a couple of weekends ago with a new girl I'm dating. If we're comparing shopping to coaching searches, she was like the A&M's coaching search. We did have to drive up to Richardson to go to the Cowboys pro-shop, but other than that decisions were made very quickly. Of course, that was just gift shopping. I haven't gone shopping with her when she's buying stuff for herself. Could be an entirely different experience.

You are a brave man! Try to put off shopping as much as possible, especially if she utters the feared words "Sam Moon" or "Allen Outlet Mall".

Ahhh. Dating shopping. That is a fun sport. Does not compare to married shopping. Enjoy it while you are able.

Yeah until they get the Owner's Manual they think a gift is wonderful but once married they think a gift is repayment for their 1/2 of the ownership rights in the marital estate. I always found it interesting that they only wanted to split the marital estate after you had paid ALL the bills for years.

I actually was always invited to go until she learned I could add her name to my credit card.

It goes back to Cave Men and Cave Women. Women -hunters and gathers. Men - find it, kill it, drag it home. Evolution has changed nothing in 10 million years. Women still get energized by shopping. Men just want a list so that they can find it, buy it and drag it home. That's why women shop for Christmas for months and men shop on Christmas Eve. By that date, they have their list, and they can finally, buy it and drag it home. And yes, our athletic department has been exhibiting hunter gatherer characteristics in this search.
