Never said GF was part of FMC. Review your posts. I wish they were.

I would hope an SMU alum would not be connect with a company that puts out such a horrible product.

So try to figure out who is next. Bigger than PJ. I really think this is correct.

Orsini had radar lock on PJ. We actually had him in the bag. Jumped out last minute. He was our guy. We are on Plan B or C now. It could be a bigger name now though, but we were always wanting PJ & only PJ from the beginning. I confirmed this last night with someone close to Orsini.

I am sure they must have some family connections. Does not matter anyway. Both want to win in the game they play.

This is all I will post. I am not intending to argue. Just pointing out that you did think there was a family connection between Gerald Ford and the Ford Motor Company.

10-4

Post the quote> I did try to my best ability to link the two, But Never said they are linked other than in a superficial way. I wish they were more linked. F is having a hard time. So is SMU. SMU has a much storied past, so does F. I wish F. had all the things going for it that SMU has. Hire Mullary for 40m$ for 4 Mo. a hitch. F will take alot of time and care by an American President that cares. End of thread and I NEVER said GF was part of the real Ford family. Find the link. You said you had a link, Find it.

I have a Merc. Mariner. They put out quality products. They are on a four year mission. SMU is next year. If you are a long term investor. F is selling at around 16.75 a shr. FpA is down around 17.00$ per sh. They have a dividend of 1.88 cent per share. Around a 12% dividend seems like a bargen. Anyone that thinks FMC is over are the same tht think SMU is over. If I had more $ I would but some more F. I don't.

No, phxfan, they don't, at least not in any meaningful and/or historic way. Not the POTUS either. This is a different guy whose money came from finance. Specifically, he is the former Founder & Chairman of Golden State Bancorp, which owned CalFed Bank (California Federal) in California (duh), Auto One (in Dallas), and a host of other financial entities. He sold out to Citicorp/Citibank, which is why you see all of those new Citibank branches showing up in California...they were CalFed.

He lives in Dallas, and by and large ran his financial mini-empire from D, not unlike Lamar Hunt did the Chiefs.

He's a very private person, and he is a devoted donor to SMU. But he wants results...period. Guys with that level of success tend to be that way.
Go figure.

It really does not matter. He may or may not be related to the Fords. What matters is he seems committed to this school. I was trying to define a boundry to this. Bill Gates, 150 billion/Bill Ford 1.5 billion. So where does GF fit in?? How much $ does he have?? The Hunt thing makes me think about M.S. Chiefs, S.D. and SMU.

Gerald Ford has enough, according to my source, to spend over $100 thousand in jet fuel charges alone on several private plane trips up to the Naval Academy and back in courting Johnson!
