I would take Leavitt and his staff. They have done an absolutely phenomenal job. I don't know if he'd be interested in doubling his salary.

Leavitt would be a huge coup for us. I can't imagine he would leave though and start all over building a team after just breaking through with USF. My guess is USF would jump at the chance to match any offer he gets.

His DC would be a decent hire though. Dan McCarney did a realtively decent job as HC at Iowa State (one of the toughest gigs in the country) and has done a great job with the USF defense. He is definitely looking for a new HC job too--interviewed at N. Illinois.

Solich wouldn't be terrible either. He hasn't done as well in Ohio as he did at NU, but he did get them to a bowl game his second year there. I'm sure he'd take a million dollar raise and be willing to move from Ohio to Dallas! With him, we'd also get all of the leftover Nebraska assistants that haven't been taken by Pelini, Gill, and the Kiffins.

LOL. I hope someone with authority gets rid of the tacky scaffolding/sound system next season. The bare grassy hill is bad enough. Can't we paint it with a logo or something.
I believe that it was a one season temporary situation to test the viability of putting the sound system at the scoreboard. If they decide that it is a better sound system, they will build a permanent system integrated into the scoreboard facility...perhaps by expanding it if necessary.

PS It's interesting to see that Johnson is not making much more at Georgia Tech than he did at Navy. So, if SMU offered more, Tech was not willing to match it.

For some people, money is not every thing...he stated very clearly that he wanted a chance at a National Championship which is impossible at SMU with BCS conferences holding a choke hold on that game.
