Thanks. That's great news, huh? Discount the holidays and what's left of the "dead period" (thanks for pointing that out, Steve-O), we're closing in on less than a month to go!

Pony Up!

We've got essentially 21 days of recruiting with a caveat that most all quality recruits are tied up about a week before signing date. Remember between the last Sunday and the Wednesday signing period is a Dead Period too. So essential 2 weeks that a Coach might be able to get things done. But we don't have a Coach or a Coaching Staff either and finding a Coaching Staff may take 10 days to 2 weeks.

Forgot about that — good to know. Thanks.

Normally I'd agree wwith you, but in this case, I bet whoever the coach is arrives with a full staff in tow.

Apparently, the full staff issue was a problem for June Jones at UCLA:

Is UCLA losing June Jones because of DeWayne Walker?

From the LA Daily News’ Brian Dohn:

One thing I was told about Hawaii coach June Jones was he would want to bring his whole staff to UCLA, and the Bruins brass are doing everything they can to keep defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker on board. I was told that was a point of contention, and could keep Jones out of the mix.
