Another brief point, the added travel difficulty, and it cannot be denied that travel for TCU in the MWC would be more difficult, impacts the fans as well. In selecting their teams, bowls do consider how well a team's fans travel. Obviously, for TCU, having 4 away games a minimum of 600 miles away will impact that.

Contrast that with the C-USA West, which Norm called the Southwest Airlines Division on the Ticket this morning.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Stallion, I'm looking long and hard, and I don't see it. SMU's adissions policies and deficiencies aside, there is no doubt that the MWC plays better ball on the field than the CUSA West will for awhile. I'm not so sure you can now say that about the CUSA East.

But it doesn't seem that playing ability on the field counts for very much, and if it's all about money, the MWC makes no sense. BYU, AF and CSU could all be good enough to be in the national title hunt, my client still wouldn't pay that much more for that league; the numbers are just not there. When the WAC outdraws you, you have a problem. Notre Dame didn't get it's TV deal just because it wins: it got it because it has huge TV numbers; still better than the MWC and the WAC put together I might add. BYU wins and puts butts in stadium seats, but it doesn't draw TV numbers and only really brings the SLC market, which is why for the time being and probably the foreseeable future, outside the BCS.

If you're not getting more $$ or a BCS slot, why not keep expenses down, win games (after all, TCU hasn't played anyone much this year either, but they're getting ink for their record), and build profile on the east coast instead of going west, spending more money, and potentially losing a few gmes which will keep you out of the spotlight anyway. If TCU was 8-3, they'd be another eh team just below the polls, and the only reason they're not ranked where they think they should be is because they haven't scheduled any tough OOC games and won them.
