Women Lose to Texas Tech - 75-70

Postby Tipoff96 » Sat Dec 29, 2007 10:06 pm

Tough loss for the ladies. Four players in double figures for SMU. 31 points from the bench. Surprisingly Dodds fouled out with only 11 minutes of play and NO points! Neither team shot well. Never fun to lose but nice to see they competed. Word is there were around 9,000 people in attendance at the game.

The game is on ch. 21 now, doesn't look like 9,000 to me.

Doesn't look like it to me either - just going off of what someone told me who attended the game. Nevertheless, that crowd is still bigger than any crowd we've drawn at any men's or women's home games this year.

That's an extremely tough place to play. Losing sucks, but it sounds like we represented ourselves well.

Beat the hell out of UTSA!

That depends on whether your sister has a date with her other boyfriend/cousin.

Heard the Ponies were pissed after the Tech game - refs homered us out of Lubbock (that's only supposed to happen FOR the Ponies, not AGAINST us.)

Sure wouldn't want to be UT-San Antonio right now. Kick some butt down there!

Is Wednesday's game going to be on the radio?

The refs took Janielle out of the game as soon as it began. She played just 11 minutes before fouling out, and didnt score for the first time in her career. It's not the first time and wont be the last time someone get's homered in Lubbock.

Wednesdays game is on the radio, 1630 AM, I think. UTSA is a decent team, they're 8-4 and their losses came to good teams.

UTSA got drilled by Tulsa.
We should beat them.
Personally, I hope the Ponies' anger inspires them to run them out of their own gym.
