CUSA Offenses Being Exposed

Postby Stallion » Sat Dec 29, 2007 7:24 pm

or is it the CUSA defenses being exposed. Probably both. Still waiting for UCF to score a TD. TCU completely manhandled Aldridrige and UH's running game

As much as I hate the frogs, I was glad they beat those coog thugs

Well said. Unfortunately, our administration could care less - or they wouldn't have let us & C-USA get in this bad of shape.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

They haven't been exposed. ECU won vs. Boise and UCF played toe to toe w/an SEC team, albeit an average one. Who gives a crap about TCU/Houston. The best outcome of that game would have been a stadium collapse.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Even more surprising was the degree to which the Frogs shut Alridge

down. He had 15 carries for 29 net yards, including one run for 22 yards.

His remaining 14 carries netted 7 yards for an average .52 yards per

carry. Alridge admitted that he had never faced a run defense that was

that dominant.

that Mississippi State defense also held Tulane's Forte to about 42 yards rushing earlier this year. Yet Forte, Aldridge and Kevin Jones routinely run for 175-200-250-300 yards on CUSA defenses. Its a big statement just how bad the talent is on these CUSA defenses. Yet many on this board don't understand when I critcize the recruiting at SMU and CUSA schools. Anyone comparing SMU's classes with conference rivals over the last few years should understand that SMU has to do much better than recruiting at a Sun Belt level to build an average college football team. Its not good enough to recruit with Rice or Tulane. We ain't getting it done in recruiting and that should be a major driving force in determining our new Coach.
