Not readily available...at least for my time availability. You might want to look at this. The Sugar Bowl media guide. The second page gives a run down on Hawaii in the June Jones era.

BTW, they had five road games this year.

You might also want to read this.

Was JJ the coach when Hawaii beat SMU to end the longest road losing streak in the country?

Don't remember when that game was, but Jones has been the HC at Hawaii since 1999.

Was Cavan the coach or was the "former head coach known as Phil Bennett" the coach at the time? All of the losses the last 18 years are starting to run together...........

FordtoTolbert,
What happened to the scoop you got from the hot young agent? Did that not pan out?

Give Rossely as many years and the "Hawaii model" and he would win in the WAC too. Rossely had to compete in the SWC with the "Pye model".

It appears that both Cavan and Bennett had to compete under the "Pye model" as well. Where is the proof that the "Pye model" is no longer running the athletic department? Neither football or mens basketball are having anymore success with Orsini running the athletic department..........

Who cares. The guy is a winner. Big difference. What was Rossley's home record, away record or his win/loss vs top 25? Lets just say it isn't good. Please tell me you meant this thread as a joke.

He also orchestrated a pretty fine offense with the Houston Oilers when he was coordinator, I think (Ernest Givens, Webster Slaughter .... that crowd). What he has done at Hawaii is VERY impressive.

Note from Jones' bio:
Under Jones' tutelage, the Warriors have broken 380 school records and 45 NCAA records.

FORTY-FIVE NCAA RECORDS?
Sign the man.
Now.

You might be right, but I think they both were on that staff, either together or in succession. If so, sorry for the mix-up.

gia...just about every SMU record was broken under Rossley as well....Jason Wolf, Ramon, etc...JJ is not a good fit at SMU, imho. Bring on Fran, or somebody who has broken par at more than one golf course, if you know what I mean...
